Motor Accidents Compensation
Motor vehicle accidents are unfortunately a fact of life, with the Department of Transport revealing that there were over 290,000 reported road casualties in 2003. A large percentage of Personal Injury Compensation claims are the result of motor accidents, with drivers and/or passengers holding other drivers liable for injuries sustained due to negligent driving. Pedestrians and motorbike riders and particularly vulnerable on the roads, largely resulting from other road users simply not seeing them.

It is compulsory by law for all UK drivers to take out third party motor insurance. However, a surprising number continue to flaunt the law and drive uninsured. Fortunately for UK drivers, the Motor Insurers Bureau exists to take care of compensation claims made against uninsured drivers. One of the most common injuries resulting from motor accidents is whiplash, usually caused by rapid deceleration of a motor vehicle. It is also sometimes controversial, as diagnosis is often vague and dubious claimants can easily exaggerate the extent of their injuries.
