Medical Negligence Solicitors

Medical Negligence solicitors claim millions of pounds every year for unfortunate patients who have been the victim of negligent medical staff for a number of reasons. A small percentage of solicitor companies are authorised to use the Legal Aid scheme, while ‘no win, no fee’ cases are the norm. Legal proceedings have to be issued within three years of injury and a claim for compensation must be settled within this time.

Claims for compensation run right across the spectrum of medical procedures, with birth claims high on the list, especially injuries of the brachial plexus nerves. The single highest claim, however, is for surgery negligence, with open surgery, laparoscopy and cosmetic surgery being every day examples. Compensation claims will typically cover loss of income, future care, past and present pain, including psychological suffering, medical expenses, legal expenses and quality of life.
